Arrive in Athens & depart with our tour bus for our drive to Volos where we will spend our first night. Volos is situated on the Gulf of Pagasitikos, famous for the beautiful region of Pelion, its locally produced raki & excellent fish food.
A welcome - introduction dinner has been planned for you in one of the local Meze tavernas.
Breakfast in our hotel & off to visit our first vineyard in the outskirts of the city of Larissa.
It is the vineyard Karipidis, renowned for its....We will have a comprehensive tour of the wineyard, taste the wine & enjoy a wholesome lunch together with the family of the owners where we will get the chance to know them & their wines better.
After our meal & wine-tasting, we will head to Thessaloniki where we will spend the night.
Located on the seaside, a beautiful town with buzzing nightlife & famous for its food since it sat for hundreds of years between the Greek, Ottoman & Jewish civilizations.
You ll have a free evening here to get to know this beautiful town. Our tour guide will recommend & help you with the bookings of bars/restaurants and help with anything else.
After breakfast, you have 1-2 hrs free to try some shopping in Thessaloniki and around 11 we will head out to visit one of the most famous wineries of Greece, the Biblia Hora Winery where we will have a tour, wine tasting & learning together with a lunch Degustacion prepared by the vineyard chef. In the afternoon, we head back to Thessaloniki where you can enjoy some time by the hotel pool. In the afternoon, we have an optional visit to .... theater, summer cinema, sth..
After our breakfast, we will be checking out from the hotel and head to the Gerovasileiou Winery & museum. We will get a tour of the museum, winetasting of xxx and a gourmet lunch at the vineyard premises.
After that, we will head to Vergina archaeological site, the burial site of the Kings of Macedonia. The site has been restored and presented to its former glory. It is a truly spectacular site, you will reach the tombs great doors at arm’s length.
After our visit, we will drive to Meteora. If you have not heard of this place before, all you have to do is scroll through the photos on the right and you will feel the awe. A site of unique geological beauty, a site where numerous monasteries have been ‘suspended’ -(translation of ‘Meteora’) on granite rocks. We will spend the night here at our hotel with a view like no other.
Today we will be spending the day in Meteora exploring the monasteries, have an opportunity for hiking up to the rocks (we will plan walks for every fitness level, from a few minutes to hourly expeditions).
You have the afternoon free to wander the streets of the traditional town of Kalampaka which sits at the foot of Meteora. Sample the local produce, enjoy a cup of coffee with the rest of the Greeks basking in the sun.
In the evening, we have organised a big feast at a local taverna with an abundance of greek wine, meze & sharing stories from our trip so far.
After our breakfast, we will drive to Papigko, the village sitting next to the Vikos gorge, the deepest gorge in the world. This is another site of natural beauty that cannot be really described in our words.
Here you can choose how you can spend your day with us. We will have with us one of the local adventure organisers of the area. We will have the chance to participate in white river rafting & canoeing, hiking to the heart of the gorge or for the less adventurous souls, a casual walk around the towns and the hills of Papigko. Trust us, one day will not be enough here for you.
We will spend the night here, you ll get the chance to walk around the village, meet the locals and have a nice dinner.
After breakfast, we will be heading out towards Athens International airport where unfortunately our tour will be coming to an end.

Aim to arrive to Athens airport on the Saturday, the first day of the tour, by 14.00.
You can also arrange to come on Friday evening so that you can spend a night & morning in Athens to enjoy the nightlife & visit the Acropolis in the morning. Our bus will leave the airport at 15.00 on the Saturday so you will have plenty of time to visit the main sites & have a souvlaki.
At the end of our trip, on the Saturday, we will be at the Airport by 15.00, so that you can plan your return flight. It goes without saying that if you want to fly out on Sunday & spend one more day in Athens or why not, maybe a whole week to visit the islands, please feel free to contact our team who will be more than happy to assist you.
June, September & October are beautiful in Greece, the temperatures are mid to high 20s and the tourist destinations are not jet packed with tourists.
