Embark on a 9 day spiritual holiday to unlock your potential, with Maya master teacher Miguel Angel Vergara Calleros, visiting the sacred Toltec archeological sites near Mexico City and the sacred sites of the Maya, in the Yucatan.

Miguel Angel Vergara Calleros studied for 17 years with Mayan elder and wisdom keeper, Don Vincente Martin, and teaches seminars in Mexico and abroad on everything Mayan. He'll immerse you in the legends behind two Universal Teachers - Quetzalcoatl, the precious Serpent, a symbol of Sacred Knowledge of the Ancient Ones, and KuKulKan, a Mayan Master of Light. Your goal is to reconnect with their wisdom and learn to apply it to the opportunities and challenges that you face today. You'll receive their powerful energy as you follow Miguel through Mayan and Toltec lands, temples and pyramids.

Maya legend says that, following his fall from grace, Quetzalcoatl redeemed himself by traveling through Mexico and Veracruz, building temples and teaching. You'll follow in the footsteps of Quetzalcoalt, from Mexico City, his birthplace Tepoztlan and Teotihuacan, where his temple is dedicated to this Feathered Serpent. You will also connect with the teachings of KuKulKan, who arrived from the west to the land of the Maya. Traveling around the area, he taught the Mayan people Science, Art, Philosophy and Mathematics.

By the end of your journey, Miguel will have introduced you to sacred practices, meditation and mystical ceremonies that will unlock your inner potential.

Day 1: Monday - December 1

Mexico City

Upon arrival at the Mexico City airport, our guide will meet us and lead us to our hotel. Take the remainder of the day to relax and prepare for an awesome journey ahead of us. In the event that we expect other travelers to arrive in the evening, we will have the briefing and tour introductions the following morning. Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 2: Tuesday - December 2

Tepoztlan, Amatlan (B, L, D)

We will immediately gather with our fellow travelers and tour leaders in the morning. We will feast over a hefty breakfast with everyone before leaving for Tepoztlan and Amatlan.

Legends have it that Tepoztlan is the origin of Quetzalcoatl. This is where he experienced inner transformation that triggered the beginning of his journey to fully realize his potential as a great teacher. Just like Quetzalcoatl, we will be enchanted by the breathtaking views of the Tepozteco Mountain to receive ancient energy to power us to our journeys in the next few days.

Amatlan will be the host for lunch today. The charming town will also present us with tons of opportunities to go around spiritually focused shops before returning to our hotel in Mexico City.

In the evening, we will enjoy a warm and cozy Welcome Dinner and a lecture by Miguel Angel. He will give us insights on the connection between Quetzalcoatl and KuKuulKaan. Listen attentively, because this session can help us on our sacred journey. There will be question and answer portion, and we are encouraged to participate.

Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 3: Wednesday - December 3

Teotihuacan (B, L)

We will embark on one of the most important tours for this holiday right after breakfast. We are heading to Teotihuacan today. This is when deep understanding of who we truly are begins. As mystical as it may sound, we will be guided into a spiritual voyage that will transform our lives forever.

Miguel Angel will be with us every step of the way. We will walk in a sanctified manner along the Avenue of the Dead, past the temples representing our different “Chakras”. We will continue with the walk until we reach the Pyramid of the Moon. The pyramid symbolizes our brain, our Mother and our direct connection with the Moon. According to ancient chronicles, Teotihuacan, “The Place Where Men Become Gods”, is the place where the Fifth Sun was birthed. At this point, whether you like it or not, there will be a force that will open our hearts and souls to connect with the “Masters of Light”. This experience will help us acknowledge that we are indeed “Divine”.

You may be wondering why we regard Teotihuacan as a pivotal part of the tour. One of the reasons is that we will feel the presence of Quetzalcoatl/KuKuulKaan here with us, especially at the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. This is the third largest pyramid at Teotihuacan with illustrations of the Feathered Serpent covering its sides.

After lunch, we will return to Mexico City for our final evening here. We will have the option to explore the city for the remainder of the day, or we can start meditating and applying the things that we have learned so far. Overnight in Mexico City.

Day 4: Thursday - December 4

National Museum of Anthropology (B)

We will check out of our hotel after breakfast. We will head to the land of the Maya today. An interesting trip is ahead. Our today’s expedition starts with a visit to the Museo Nacional de Antropología, a place dedicated to honor the Maya. Miguel Angel will guide us as we discover sacred pieces inside the museum. He will also help us open up and feel the vibe of this unique Museum housing important artifacts from the Maya world. With no exaggeration, even the stones here are believed to be inhabited by Mayan spirits. This visit will prepare us for the next process, which takes us to the Yucatan and the Feathered Serpent, KuKuulKaan.

In the afternoon, we will fly to Merida, Yucatan. As our trip continues, we will now explore the teachings of KuKuulKaan. Our home for the rest of the holiday is tucked in the Historical Center of this Spanish Colonial city and within a stone throw away from entertainment hubs, banks, shopping, and restaurants. It’s also a striking distance from the revered Main Square, a beautiful park in the middle of a busy and safe city.

In ancient times, it was a thriving Maya center called ICH KAAN ZIHO, which literally means, “They were born into the Face of the Sun”. The fiver pyramids were destroyed during the Spanish conquest. The stones from there monuments were used to build Cathedrals and other buildings surrounding the plaza. The locals believe that the stones help keep the place alive and vibrant.

Tonight, enjoy a free evening in Mérida. Take in the local music, savour the delicious cuisine and immerse yourself in the culture.

Overnight in Mérida.

Day 5: Friday - December 5

Mayapan (B, L)

Our first morning in the Yucatan region will take us to Mayapan, a sacred place where KuKuulKaan shared his teachings with the Maya people. Epic tales would mention of the very long stay of KuKuulKaan in here before his return to the Planet Venus.

Mayapan is a genuinely beautiful site. It may not be as huge as other sacred cities in Asia, but this small town is packed with powerful temples and pyramids. Miguel Angel will lead a Ceremony that will further explain to us the significance of structures and carvings around the area. This site still has a pyramid that we can climb. We will also be given free time for us to explore on our own before we leave for a late lunch. Thereafter, we will return to Mérida.

The literal translation of Mayapan is “Flag of the Maya”. According to history, it also symbolizes the link with the One force, the Solar Logos or Christic energy. It is the force between the positive and the negative, between Chichen Itza and Uxmal, between Father and Mother.

Today’s lecture by Miguel Angel will be about KUKUULKAAN IN THE LAND OF THE MAYA. During the discussion, we will dig into the affluent heritage of Mayab (Yucatan) of KuKuulKaan. He will also share some of the teachings of KuKuulKaan in Mayapan and all the Cosmic Universities of Yucatan, pointing out the temples and pyramids dedicated to him at these sites, and share the last cosmic message of KuKuulKaan in the Mayalands. Join the question and answer portion.

Overnight in Mérida.

Day 6: Saturday - December 6

Chichen Itza (B, L)

After early morning breakfast, we will leave for Chichen Itza. It is regarded as the most popular of all the Maya sites. Chichen Itza is dubbed as the “City of KuKuulKaan”. It is dedicated to the Pleiades Constellation via the symbol of the Serpent, which is connected to the Pleiades.

The pyramid was a cosmic symbolism to honor the Serpent during the Mayan era and KukuulKaan. The latter taught the Mayans how to find the perfect equilibrium between different facets of knowledge: Science, Art, Philosophy and Religion.

Miguel Angel will lead us through Chichen Itza and we will perform a special tribute to KuKuulKaan inside the pyramid. The remainder of the day will be left for us to explore the town on our own. We will have our late lunch before we return to Merida. We will have the entire evening to enjoy and soak up with all the teachings and lessons we have mustered from our trip so far.

Overnight in Mérida.

Day 7: Sunday December 7

Labna & Museo de Cacao (B, L)

Another round of spiritual walk and Ceremony (led by Miguel Angel) will be experienced after breakfast. In the morning, we will travel to the Maya site of Labna. In Mayan dialect, Labna means “The Walls of the Wisdom of the Mother”.

The Ceremonial Center is associated with that of the Cosmic Knowledge of the Calendars. In the sacred glyphs are carvings of constellations, the sun, the moon, Venus, the stars, the Sacred Caduceus of Mercury and others that are still being interpreted by scientists until today.

Our tour along the Sac Be (Maya for White Road) will lead us to the most beautiful Mayan arches ever found. Here, we will be amazed by the ornamentation and architectural ingenuity surrounding the place. We will also visit the Observatory at Labna where the Maya, through the Sacred Cosmic Knowledge of KuKuulKaan, “The Serpent in the Cosmos”, opened their Chakras to receive the generous messages from the Stars.

We will momentarily take a break from our spiritual discoveries. This time, we will fulfill the passions of our taste buds. Our net stopover is at the Plantación Tikul & Ecomuseo del Cacao. It is very interesting that chocolate is a central in ancient ceremonies of Mayans. Inside this museum, we will learn how it is grown, processed, used and most important – how it tastes!

Overnight in Mérida.

Day 8: Monday - December 8

Maya Museum (B, D)

After breakfast, we will tour around the new El Gran Museo del Mundo Maya in Mérida. This small but impeccable museum is home to four permanent exhibition rooms, a temporary exhibition space and a large screen cinematographic projection room.

It boasts more than 500 pieces of objects and textures that were part of daily life for the Mayans. This experience will elevate our understanding of the Maya world. And again, Miguel Angel will be there to help interpret the meaning and significance of the objects inside the museum.

One of the most exciting parts of the tour is here – shopping time! Since this is our final day at Merida, we will be given time to shop, dine, relax and explore the town.

In the afternoon, we are encouraged to take time and look into the transformations in our lives and the moments we have experienced spiritual renewal. It is also recommended that we keep a journal to chronicle our journey and experiences.

As the tour comes to a close, we will gather for one last time for a delightful Farewell Dinner. As we enjoy our delicious treats, we will share unforgettable experiences and learning from the sacred sites that we have visited and explored. Let us also take this time to show our gratitude to Miguel Angel who have been instrumental in our self-discovery in the land of the Toltecs and Mayans.

Overnight in Mérida.

Day 9: Tuesday December 9

Helen Wong, Pasadena, CA (Maya Sacred Path - Dec 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012)

I knew the trip was going to be great… Not only was it great, it exceeded all of my expectations. The ceremonies were beautiful and moving. The sites we visited were awe inspiring; it was like going back in time. Reading a book or watching a TV program could never take the place of seeing these places in person and feeling the energy directly. The spiritual insights I learned from Miguel Angel were so practical that I knew I would go home and apply them in my life right away. He is a gifted teacher and a joy to be around. I returned home feeling mentally and emotionally centered and physically grounded, ready to go forward and fulfill my spiritual purpose in life. It’s a trip I won’t soon forget, and I wouldn’t hesitate to take another Mayan tour.

Sonya Lach, Las Vegas, NV (Maya Sacred Path - Dec, 2012)

To have been part of such a respectful and loving man's daily ceremony was a great lesson in the full awareness of the presence of The Mother in and around me at all times.

Serah Roer, Tappen, B.C. (Maya Sacred Path - Dec 2010, 2011 & 2012)

I so enjoyed the journey. It was especially great to be taken everywhere and looked after in every respect so one could enjoy all the delights of the special places we visited, along with the very special teachings of Miguel. I have never made reservations on a group journey before and found such lovely like minded people were there also...so many thanks for all the organisation that went into this trip.

Sonia Newhouse, Urubamba, Peru (Maya Sacred Path - Dec, 2011)

The entire trip was such a joy from start to finish. The camaraderie of like minds combined with the spiritual aspects was outstanding.

Donalie Caldwell, Kelowna, B.C. (Maya Sacred Path - Dec, 2008, 2010 & 2011)

Another great trip with many Mayan teachings that are totally relevant for us during these troubled times. The tour leaders were always available to share their knowledge and wisdom and they treated everyone with reverence and respect.

Allan Krystie, Ajax, Ontario (Maya Sacred Path - Dec 2007 & 2010)
