Escape and detox your body for 3 days at a traditional Hotel & Spa, in a reconstructed neighbourhood of the 1800's that is located in the picturesque village of Eastern Crete, Sfaka. The hotel has been awarded as the Best New Small Hotel of Europe, in 2011, by the International Hotel Awards in association with Bloomberg Television.
'3 days back in time' is how a recent visitor shared with us his experience at the Cretan Village. The family who owns the resort in Eastern Crete is enabling all of us to experience the serenity and natural beauty of a Cretan village the way it once was.
Over the next three days, your body will be rejuvenated with the help of ancient herb fumigation techniques, 75-minute massage therapies that include both Asian and Greek techniques, unique body rubdowns and wraps, as well as specially formulated detox juices and teas. You'll also hike to the beautiful gorge of Richtis that ends at the tropical Waterfall.
What is most important here is that you have the opportunity to live in and become part of a friendly neighbourhood, to take walks around the beautiful paths and renowned gorges, to enjoy the original Cretan cuisine and the virgin olive-oil at the panoramic restaurant of the hotel overlooking the Aegean Sea and the numerous mountains, or to just relax under the Cretan sun, by the swimming pool area or at your terrace. At the end of the day, a glass of raki or Cretan wine will accompany you as you gaze at the unique Greek sunset…

About our Cretan Neighbourhood
In each of the resort's 15 houses, suites, studios or rooms you will have the opportunity to travel back in time, but still benefit from all modern comforts. Each-and-every-one of our rooms is truly unique, with historical value, and it has maintained its heritage.
In the past centuries, most of these properties where the permanent residences of the people of the village of Sfaka or were used by them for their every day activities. One of the houses used to be a winepress, in another the Sfakans used to produce olive oil, and in a third they made and repaired shoes. Every room has maintained its original layout depending on the property’s former use.
The Restaurant Experience
At the hotel's restaurant you will have the opportunity to taste a mix of traditional Cretan dishes with an international twist, from the hands of Chef Iris Folia (French Culinary Institute of New York, NYC).
Iris uses her background in Greek and Cretan cuisine, and takes these flavors a step further. Here you will have the opportunity to experience awakening flavors, some of which originate from our own biological garden. Enjoy this experience at our recently renovated restaurant overlooking the sea and mountains, in the setting of a Cretan village.
Tip from our Chef: Do not forget to ask us to make your own “deconstructed Mousaka”!
In our traditional settlement you can relax and enjoy the summer atmosphere every moment of the day. After a swim, either in our pool either in one of the beautiful beaches of Eastern Crete, you can refer to our staff in order to enjoy the services of our SPA and benefit from a therapy chosen specifically for you.
The resort's spa is located in a very special area of the hotel which reminds of a cave: there you can enjoy hours of mental and body relaxation in the Jacuzzi, the Hammam and the Sauna. You can also benefit from an excellent body therapy with the natural products of the world widely known company Terraké.
