Hialeah has a land size of approximately 22.82 square miles, which is minor compared to other large Floridian towns, yet this spot will compete with its notable attractions.
The city is convenient because of its scale, and you can undoubtedly move about the hotspots, notably in the downtown district, without a car.

List of Contents
1. Leah Arts District
The Leah Arts District on 10th Avenue Lane is my top choice for a noteworthy zone in Hialeah.
The Leah Arts District provides cheap housing and working spaces for local artists while promoting art and civilization in the City of Progress. This art walk complements the city’s main attractions.
It was bordering the tri-rail tracks, and they painted their works on the walls of abandoned factories, adding to the quirky industrial vibe. I was interested in why this area is a must-see, and it was a hidden gem. In total, there are about thirty murals over the route.
The artworks of local artists and a very scenic road make it even more enticing. Furthermore, this district hosts street celebrations, live bands, seminars, and shows, adding to its spirit.
Visit this hotspot if you happen to be in Hialeah.
2. Epicentro Café
It is also true that Hialeah is home to a diverse range of cuisines, including Cuban, as evidenced by our next dining destination on the 4th Street.
Epicentro Cafe is part of a local network of bright and straightforward Cuban cafes serving traditional meals to the locals and tourists alike. This family-owned and well-known Cuban diner opened its establishment for business in 2000.
Epicentro Cafe is a staple in Hialeah, so I visited it on the weekend, and surprisingly the place is not crowded. There is room for everyone. There are many food alternatives there, too, so you could get overwhelmed.
I strongly advise you to order their empanadas, Fritas, and Papa Rellenas. They also have pool tables where you may pass the time while you wait for your meal, so head over here if you are craving some Cuban cuisine or simply good food.
3. Franky’s Deli Warehouse
Hialeah’s 84th street is an incredible deli corner that you must visit.
Franky’s Deli Warehouse, in business since 1999 and family-owned by couples Franky and Naneth, is another local institution. It serves high-quality fresh-cut meats and cheeses to its customers daily.
The deli has served the community for over 20 years with the freshest ingredients they handpick. I went there to eat a lovely brunch on a weekend because locals highly recommended it.
The crew will welcome you and recommend their best-selling dishes when you walk in. I tried the Philly cheesesteak, the Cuban Sandwich, the Famous Italian, and my favorite was the Mariquitas. There are decent ready-to-go drink alternatives and a diverse chip variety.
Franky’s Deli Warehouse serves some of the best-made subs in Hialeah. This zone is yet another dining establishment that you should visit.
4. Asian Gardens
Asian Gardens is another other eating destination in Hialeah along West 68th Street. This restaurant specializes in Asian food, specifically authentic Chinese meals.
The restaurant delivers the best sushi in town, and Hialeah residents may sample excellent dishes from Asia.
I went over on the weekend, and it was a crowded venue. The menu board includes a wide variety of foods from which to choose, and it was not easy to select the finest. So, I had their sushi rolls, shrimp lo mein, and best-selling orange chicken.
I also have egg rolls above standard, plus their miso soup is a decent size. They cater to go-to platters if you do not want to dine inside the venue. The owners and staff are also very accommodating.
Overall, if you want to taste authentic and delectable Asian finds, do not miss to stop over at Asian Gardens.
5. Florida Gun Center Indoor Shooting Range
Hialeah will provide you with a unique activity that requires guts if you want to perform something challenging.
The Florida Gun Center Indoor Shooting Range on 38th Street is South Florida’s leading gun shop. This family-owned business has provided consumers with high-quality gun items and other associated services since 1985.
I wanted to try out the venue’s contemporary, state-of-the-art gun range, so I did. The personnel is charming, and I had to work up a lot of bravery to shoot because their range features moveable markers that drag up to 55 feet away.
The Florida Gun Center Shooting Range offers ten firing booths that can fit rifles and pistols up to.50 caliber. I first wanted to take it slowly, so I chose the six-stall pistol shooting range to practice shooting. Because they have restricted parking here, public transportation is the best option.
Anyone looking for adventure will eventually reach this Hialeah location.
6. Garden of the Arts
Garden of the Arts on 76th Street is another city park that attracts locals and tourists. It requires about fifteen to twenty minutes to get there from the city center.
The park features stunning art, a walking track, gardens, seating, a theater, and utility lines overhead. The art in the garden says volumes about the artists’ depictions of immigration.
I have seen this park and knew it was formerly a waste space but is now a public location where people come and leave for leisure activities. Garden of Arts has a picnic area and one of those spaces for playing and other activities.
I went for a walk, and I enjoyed how nature complements its surroundings. I also like to highlight the location’s eleven murals and sculptures, ranging in size from tiny and large. If you stop in the community, you should go check it out.
7. Kush by Stephens
Food lovers will like stopping in Hialeah as part of their journey because there are many restaurants to try.
Kush by Stephens, established in 2011, is a restaurant business that has expanded its presence into the city of Hialeah. It serves each restaurant with locally sourced ingredients and decorations.
I looked around and decided to have brunch here on a weekday. It is just an 8-minute walk from downtown. The staff is delightful and introduced me to fantastic pastrami, lime pie, and matzo ball soup (the best-seller in town!). I also had my favorite croqueta starter and a black bean burger, which were terrific.
Kush by Stephens kept its traditional diner atmosphere and was also a popular attraction. In addition, they provide a large assortment of drinks and a happy hour if you want to have an enjoyable time.
If you find yourself in Hialeah, do not pass up the opportunity to dine at this popular restaurant.
8. Chico’s Restaurant
Chico’s restaurant, a local favorite, is another Cuban restaurant on our list. This eating gem is near W 12th Avenue, approximately nine minutes from downtown.
This diner is one of the top Cuban restaurants in Miami. You may get an excellent breakfast here and enjoy it in the space near their tiny windows while having Cuban coffee.
I was looking for a Cuban restaurant to try here and came across this one that the locals highly recommended. I chose their Cuban bread, which was crispy, and their Palomilia Steak, Chorizo Frito, and tortilla were excellent.
There are selections on their menu board, and I want to try their other best-selling alternatives the next time I come here. The atmosphere is old, but the cuisine is excellent. If you are going to try something new, add Chico’s to your schedule.
9. Victoria Grocery
Every tourist may require necessities when traveling and may even seek out a local store to purchase supplies before returning home.
Victoria Grocery is one of the top-rated stores in Hialeah. This location on W 49th Street is only a ten-minute walk from the city center. Because parking is a nightmare, taking public transportation or walking to the site is the best option.
Locals see this shop as a fantastic Asian food store that sells genuine products from China, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries. It has been a family-run business in Hialeah for over two decades. I went shopping there and was astonished that I could buy hard-to-find oriental goods here.
If you are looking for the fairest Asian finds, go to Victoria Grocery. This tiny shop has many patrons, and I was pleasantly surprised by its variety. They also serve snacks, and the staff is well-versed in their items.
10. Trigo Café
Cuban cuisine has always been a Hialeah favorite, and Trigo Cafe is no exception. This restaurant is one of the more accessible places to try because it is only an eight-minute stroll from the city center.
Trigo Cafe, located at 839 W 49th Street in the center of Hialeah’s Shopping District, offers an updated spin on classic Cuban cuisine. On a weekend morning, I get to come here with my pals.
The restaurant was very crowded, but they headed us to a pleasant, seated area. We got a Trigo and mamey shake, croqueta preparada, waffles, and their famous Cuban Sandwich, all of which were fantastic. The staff is also exceptionally kind, and they serve your food promptly.
Iced Cortadito with evaporated milk was the ideal drink to end my Cuban morning dining experience. If you want to try another most pleasing dining area in the center of Hialeah, Trigo Cafe is the place to go.
11. Carl F Slade Park
Carl F Slade Park is one of Hialeah’s most excellent things to do, and it is free for everyone.
They named the Slade Park after Carl F. Slade, an officer who served during World War II. This great grassland in west Hialeah includes three ball fields, sports facilities, tennis courts, a street hockey court, and a children’s playground.
Carl F Slade Park offers a 0.7-mile trail with 1500 steps. There is also a walking route and an activity center within the park. The location, however, requires extra parking, so it may be advisable to walk or take public transportation to get here.
It is a regular park, but there is much exciting stuff to do there. If you are in the vicinity and looking for a location to jog or meander, this is a better possibility.
12. Haze Hookah Lounge
If you are skimming for a Hookah lounge in Hialeah where you and your friends can have a wonderful time, Haze Hookah Lounge is the place to go.
The lounge is a sports bar specializing in a wide range of Hookahs located at 4801 W 8th Ave. This establishment only accepts those of the legal drinking age, twenty-one and up.
During my research, I stumbled across this highly regarded venue and came here for a few drinks with friends. There is a cocktail hour here, so you may have an enjoyable time hanging out and chilling. The space, on the other hand, is a low-key calm area.
I had the mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, and fries, all delicious and served hot. You can listen to excellent music here, not too loud but still relaxing. If you want a less congested environment with a fantastic range of beverages and Hookah, Haze should be on your travel list.
13. Cantina Fresh Mex Grill
The top burrito joint chain in town rounds off your list of the best things to do in Hialeah.
Cantina Fresh Mex Grill is a Hialeah restaurant that launched in May 2015. On Bird Road and 147th Avenue, their first site opened in July 2009. This eatery is owned and managed by a local family.
The hotspot monikers as the best burrito in Miami by locals, and Miami Times acknowledged it in 2011. Cantina Fresh Mex Grill has evolved into a superb and quickly expanding Tex-Mex restaurant business.
This spot is one of my favorite discoveries, and I went there to try their famed burritos and quesadillas. Every dish here includes freshly cooked chips and salsa from their salsa bar. I also ordered double chicken with raspberry chipotle sauce on top, which was fantastic.
Cantina is a true treasure in Hialeah and one of the best cuisine discoveries you should make when visiting the city.
