Did you know that Australia is also a continent? Australia/Oceania is the smallest continent. You should know that it is also the flattest.

The country is popular for its natural wonders. It has beaches, deserts, and wide-open spaces. It is popular for the Outback.

And when you think Australia is all that, you’re in for a surprise. Australia is also home to many attractive mega cities. Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth are just some of these amazing destinations.

And while we’re talking about Australia’s uniqueness, here’s another you already know. It is a continent.

How amazing would that be? It is the world’s largest island. It is also the world’s smallest continent.

And did you know that Australia is about 40% uninhabitable? That’s because it receives less rainfall all year round. This is also the reason why most of its cities are densely populated. People just seem to flock into any of these megacities.

So, the uninhabitable place is right smack in the middle of the continent. They call it the Outback.

And when you thought I’m finished, no, I’m not. Outback is one of the most untouched places on Earth. It maintains almost the same ecosystem that it had thousands of years ago.

From its flora and fauna to its wide-open deserts, Australia is unbelievable in more ways than one. This makes it a destination worth visiting.

I said it earlier, and I will say it again.

Australians were able to adopt the English language and make it their own. They have a unique accent that contains more flair. It displays a lot more fluency than other accents.

And so, once you arrive in Australia, fear not if you don’t understand a thing. Australians have an accent that’s kind of difficult to understand at first. But once you get used to it, it’s quite cute, actually.

And because the Australians like to play with words, expect a few new ones in your vocabulary. How would you react when you hear the word “chewie”? It’s chewing gum, my friend.

And would you ever know that when Australians say “Mackers,” they mean McDonald’s?

It’s different, but it’s fun! When you’re fresh off the boat, and you hear people say “arvo” instead of afternoon, welcome to Australia!
